School of Music Bands

Early into the existence of Full Moon’s School the decision was made that a few of the more advanced students would benefit from coming together as a group and learning the dynamics of being in a band. From navigating song writing as a group, learning to play together as a team, and even interpersonal dynamics the students experience and are guided through it all. Our “Varsity Bands” through the years have served as the backing bands for other students at the Rockcitals, have played great stages like the Fabulous 40 Watt and Athfest, won band battles in and around town, entertained lots of audiences, and some have even released original music (see A.D. Blanco). We strive to provide our students with the best opportunities for them as individuals and as teams! Several of our band alumni have gone on to do great things including entering the athens music scene in full force from playing in bands to operating recording studios, and some have gone even bigger to having millions of youtube plays and even backing up some of the worlds biggest artists such as Garth Brooks.
